About our church

Our fellowship emphasizes teaching through the bible, prayer & praise, evangelism, and fellowship.

Teaching

We study through the bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. As a subject arises in scripture, we study it. We do not over-emphasize any particular subject but place importance on scriptural subjects as often as they occur in the word. “Sanctify them by Your truth, Your word is truth.” – John 17:17

The man who teaches shares the scriptures of God in a pattern. On the topic of faith in God

prayer & praise

As our means of communicating with the Lord, expressing our condition, and lifting up needs, we find that prayer & praise are a necessary aspect of our fellowship both corporately and individually. “What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with understanding.” – 1 Corinthians 14:15

What defines Calvary Chapel Bartlesville?

The Lordship of Jesus Christ and the centrality of His word. As a Calvary Chapel fellowship, we follow and endorse the Calvary Distinctives. For a complete list of our beliefs, please see Genesis through Revelation, but for the major doctrines, the CCA website is an excellent resource.

Is Calvary Chapel a denomination

The short answer is no. There are numerous Calvary Chapels worldwide, but each one is autonomous. We fellowship as a Calvary Chapel because of common ministry goals, common ministry styles, and our agreement with the Calvary Distinctives. Calvary Chapel does not have central governance; each church is governed locally by Pastors and Elders.
